Veritons Song Contest was an online contest which took place between 2012 and 2017. A large number of countries around the world were represented in this contest and an incredible diversity in music was shown. You can still check the songs that took part in the 103 editions by accessing the Database.
As many pointed out already, our current system with semi-finals if we reach 30 participants it's a little tricky, because the semi-finals are usually kinda small. We decided to implement this system more than 20 editions ago when we reached a record of participants and we wanted to see how it will work. Eh, we saw and the results are not oustanding. From REJU voting to a too small number of participants in a semi-final, this system meet several obstacles.
Now, with a constant growing number of participants, we want you to decide what to do next. We spoke about this with several ocassions, but now we are trying to find an optimal solution for a longer period.
Some suggested total elimination of semi-finals and introducing a big final with 30+ songs. Some suggested the increase of minimum number of participants required to 40. Some are fine with the current system.
One grand final, with 3 or 4 days more to vote in it.

its not take many time to send entry, so i think a week for it too much, may be make it 3 days, and 11 days for voting, so 2 weeks in general
I agree on the extension of voting period but..
People are sending their entries mostly in weekend so if we do a 3 days confirmation period that would mean not too many people confirming, since 80% are sending their entry friday.
We can try a friday-saturday-sunday confirmation period then 11 days of voting :D
I support the idea of semifinals if we have 40+ participants.
Also, if we are to change the schedule, we could try for one edition to have 3-4 days to send the entry, and more days to vote, and see how that goes. If there aren't enough participants or sth else goes wrong, we'll figure it out then.
I like too the idea of smaller confirmation period and a bigger voting period if we will have a huge final
if we have 40+ it would be too painful to listen in one run and give points only to 1/4 of them.
so...my opinion - huge final for <40 participants, semi-finals like ESC for >40 participantsSo maybe I should get a nine to five But I don't want to let it go, there's so much more to life
