Veritons Song Contest was an online contest which took place between 2012 and 2017. A large number of countries around the world were represented in this contest and an incredible diversity in music was shown. As we now have a number of 35+ of participants , I think that it is too much for a Final. I mean is too hard to have to vote for only 10 songs from a total of 35+ . I think we should have Semi-Finals . It will be at least 17 countires in each Semi-Final and the Host-country will be directly into the Grand Final. So 10 qualifiers from 17+ countries it's okay.It will be easier to vote in the Finals and more fair for the other songs that maybe deserved points but it were too many songs.
I'm starting to hate the huge finals too, especially when so many songs are left behind because there is simply no place for them in our tops. Plus it's getting harder and harder to get enough time to listen all of them in one single run, and I guess some people have this problem too.
17+17+1 is okay for me, I mean they had this formula even this year at ESC and nobody complained (I mean 16-17 participants in a semi).
As I said before the grand final was introduced, I like the huge final but is getting quite painful voting-wise. For example, last edition I liked 23 songs but of course I couldn't vote for all of them. With the semis I could have give some points to all or some of them.
I hope that, if we are to re-introduce the semi finals, we are going to promote REJU voting more because last time we had poor voting scores for it.

I am not for semifinals. My kind of songs, the songs I usually vote for go around 10-15 in an edition. The songs I love are hardly ever more than 5. I can't think of an edition when I had more than 20, 25 songs I wanted to vote for. And my concern is that, with semifinals, I won't have too much to vote for, both in SFs and the final. Now, considering most of the latest top scoring songs, I believe this won't be a very popular opinion, but still, this is where I'm standing. I can't say I am fully against semifinals, but...let's just say I'm not too enthusiastic about them either.

No from me too, same reasons as Ank and Serby have.
And plus, its additional 2 LLs, 2 shows, 2 results shows for hosts (which are Ank and Gera most times), that's a lot. I hosted twice lately, but I would refuse if semis excisted
